Library Talk: Children’s Perspectives on Conservation

May 29 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Cornerspring Montessori’s lower elementary lead teacher, Haley Norris, will be sharing an entertaining and insightful documentary she and her students created depicting one of the cornerstones of their curriculum: “peace with the environment”.
The students from Cornerspring Montessori went on several field trips during this project. They visited the office and preserves of Coastal Mountains Land Trust, met with planning staff from the City of Belfast, and spent time with an outdoor-based homeschool group called Otter Trails.
Otter Trails, led by Coral Breuer, is a three-day-a-week homeschooling enrichment program for children 8-11 with a focus on nature education and life learning through community engagement.
Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust, Cornerpsring Montessori School, and Otter Trails on Thursday, May 29th at the Belfast Free Library to see the students’ creative and joyful film.
The presentation begins at 5:30pm. This event is free and open to everyone! No registration is needed.
