Trail Descriptions

Two Trailheads: Route 1, Northport Herrick Road, Northport OLD CONIFER FORESTS, STREAM CROSSINGS With the exception of a 2.5-acre abandoned field along Route 1, the preserve is densely forested by stands of hemlock, mixed conifer, old-field pine, and red maple swamps. The trail crosses many streams, which have created distinct ravines throughout the landscape.
